Our Process For Sign Letters

From hand-crafted, beautiful 3D letters through to flat cut letters that are precision cut using the latest laser cutting technology. We provide a full range of built up letter signage solutions in a huge range of materials and finishes including stainless steel, aluminium, brass, plastic and acrylic.

From retail frontages to pubs, clubs, and restaurants – Alpen Signs have produced and installed literally 1000s of letter-based signs. We know the importance of quality in both materials, finish and fit to ensure a long-lasting sign.

Our in-house team of skilled craftsmen are able to tailor exactly to your specification, including stunning rimless letter designs, as well as more traditional rim and return finishes. Our large-scale manufacturing capability means we can offer individual letters up to the largest sizes, or even incorporate a logo design with ease.

We have the capacity to create foam letters, adhesive letters, perspex letters, and polystyrene letters. There are great for indoor use and perfect for wayfinding signs within buildings. We also specialise in light-up letters, neon letters and illuminated letters, all of which are perfectly suitable for installation inside or outside. At Alpen we have a multitude of signage options to provide you with the best chance of promoting your brand.

There are different ways of illuminating your signs, you can ‘halo’ your signs. A halo, as you may imagine, is when lighting is used to create a ‘halo effect’ around the letters or logo of your business. There is also face illumination, which creates a high impact, this is where the standard built-up letter is placed with a sheet of acrylic or perspex which illuminates from the back with either neutral or coloured LEDs. Return illumination uses acrylic lettering, and is illuminated from the sides, they have a solid face in place in order to block the light. We can also create light bulb letters and neon letters; these are used often in contemporary settings and can be seen at larger events such as weddings.

Brass letters are a firm favourite in the sign lettering world. This is because of the metallic contrast you can achieve against your backdrop; metal letters in general can also create a luxurious, high-end look and so are highly sought-after by deluxe brands and exclusive outlets.

Once you have decided to work with Alpen Signs, we will start a full signage survey to understand every aspect down to the little details, whether that’s laser cut letters, cut-out letters, dimensional letters, 3D-sign letters, or aluminium letters… we have the expertise to assist you.

Once we have conducted our survey we begin the design stage. Creating a high-quality draft mock-up our expert in-house designers will work with you. Whether you need something fun or functional, our design experts can produce signs to the highest finish.
