Alpen Signs helped launch the National Lottery. The distinctive logos revealed in newsagents and supermarkets across the UK with the launch of The National Lottery over twenty years ago were down to Alpenโ€™s manufacturing and installation expertise.

It was back in 1994, when Blur and Oasis were at the height of their fame, that Camelot successfully won the first licence to operate the National Lottery weekly draw. Alpen Signs won the tender and prevailed in working closely with their consultants, to produce an impressive range of signage solutions promoting all the Lottery outlets, nationwide.

In total Alpen delivered more than 32,000 signs for Camelot, including 2,500 illuminated, projecting signs. These were all successfully installed within a tight, twelve-week schedule. Since it’s launch the National Lottery has been instrumental in supporting countless projects and charities, donating 95% of all monies received. One of the most widely recognised donations is their support of UK athletes, enabling would-be Olympians to focus on their dream of winning the gold medal for Team GB and dramatically increasing the tally of medals received since their involvement.

Steve Coates, Sales Manager at Alpen Signs had this to say:

โ€œThis was the biggest brand launch in decades. We fitted several thousand Lottery signs in the initial phase of what was a major project and one we have been very proud of.โ€
